A veggie-tastic ode to beets, brussels and bhindi!

We are introduced to 5 year old Jai who encounters monsters in his kitchen at midnight. Just as he trembles in fright, we have an unlikely bunch of superheroes to Jai’s rescue! A bunch of vegetables decide to fight the monsters by channeling their inner superpowers.

What follows is a delightful tale of the various veggies chanting a mantra and coming up with a unique song & dance to combat the ferocious monsters. The same vegetables that Jai rejected, now come to his rescue – prompting Jai to re-discover his love for them.

Siddhanth was intrigued to see vegetables morphing into superheroes and loved the rhythmic “vitachants”!

This action-packed story has a gentle rhyming scheme and is sure to have your child dancing and singing alongside Jai. The catchy and bright illustrations perfectly complement Rachna Chabbria’s entertaining and nutrition-packed storyline.

The only downside in this otherwise yummylicious book is its rather lengthy storyline.

As a mother of a picky eater, I loved the concept of the book. The author has masterfully made eating vegetables about defeating monsters which harbour illnesses. The story had a positive impact on young Sid who gobbled down some vegetables that day! So a huge thank you, Rachana!

Is your child a picky eater who refuses vegetables?
Are you grappling for ideas to make your kiddo eat the rainbow veggies?
If the answers are yes, then “peas” look no further than Rachna Chabbria’s latest delicious offering: Jai and the Vegetable Superheroes!
