As you all know, schools, colleges, malls, cinema halls, swimming pools (basically any place where many people can gather) across the nation have been shut down owing to the Coronavirus pandemic. Most offices have asked their employees to work from home. Avoid going out to avoid catching an infection is the bottom line.
WFH with the kids at home!
In this scenario, (especially since lockdown was declared), it’s challenging to keep our kids engaged productively. No going out. No group activity. No play dates. Grump. What now?! We at kids book café believe reading together is a fun activity that can make a child stuck at home, all alone, a little less lonely!
So together, let’s initiate #kbcKeepCalmAndReadOn Campaign for all of our kids!
Read 15 books in 15 days!!
In the next 15/20 days, read 15 books with your children (if they are old enough to read by themselves, that’s even better!!). After that, post a detailed list of the books you read and recommend with all of us on kidsbookcafe.com (like the ones shared here) and write 4-5 lines about each book – what you liked about it and why other kids should read it! Don’t forget to share pictures of some of the books. Please mention your child’s age and appropriate age group for the books you list.
[If your children are 8 years+ who read bigger books and were super busy with exam prep till now, they can share their list of books read from January 2020 onwards!]
If you have never posted here on kidsbookcafe.com, please don’t fret! Here are some good examples of how to post your book list and mini reviews:
7 children’s books that teach you life lessons
9 books every tween must read and own
Top 5 books I read in 2018
What happens after that?
The first 50 children who have shared a detailed list of at least 15 books along with 15 mini reviews get a free book from us! A huge shout-out to our Campaign Partners Karadi Tales .
Yay! FREE BOOKS!
That’s right. Because the idea is to reward and encourage children who are reading at home during this lockdown period. So… what do you have to do to participate?
CAMPAIGN DETAILS:
1) Sign up on kidsbookcafe.com
2) Add a post – share your list of 15 books + mini reviews (your original content) with at least one image

Campaign Ends: April 30, 2020 (EOD) [yes, we’ve extended it to April 30th now owing to extended lockdown in India!]
