She has shared inside pages with her review here in the kbc fb group. Excepts: “This is a beautifully illustrated, middle grade chapter book on what makes us homo sapiens so special, that we survived everything, while other species like the Neanderthals perished.

It explains the qualities that we humans have that make us different – our power of storytelling, our ability to work with others in teams, our ability to innovate using our brains and the protection provided by tribes. Even though the author is narrating history, one can’t help but think of the future and realise that exactly these qualities can help make or break our future too. What stories do we choose to believe? Do we choose co-operation or war? Do we choose to be a tribe or live in individual pockets? This book has inspired several hours of discussion in our house. It has made for an incredible read.”
