As this quote suggests, we need food to function and make our body work. When I say food, I assume most of you are thinking of palatable pizzas, delectable pasta, and delicious biryani. But, after reading this awesome book, a foodie like me has realized food does not have to be unhealthy to be incredibly tasty!

The recipes in this book are healthy, tasty and super easy to make! Not allowed to eat branded pizzas from outside for dinner? Well don’t worry. The cheesy vegetable pizza in this book is a healthier and tastier substitute! Don’t have any sweet, chocolate cake at home? No problem! This book also has a creamy mug cake, which takes only a minute to make! From Granola Munchies to Cheese Garlic Bread, this book has it all!

You might be thinking that such recipes could only be pulled off by some of the most advanced cooks with years of training. But you’d be mistaken, as 7 year old Varad of Class 2, along with his mother, has made all of it! My eyes were as wide as saucers and my jaw had dropped when I realized it was a little boy who made all of this! 

Achira’s note – This is indeed a lovely book to introduce kids to the concept of cooking. Well, one must know cooking as a life skill. Divit, being a foodie, was always keen to try his hands in the kitchen and this book with such interesting recipes by Varad, nudged him to do exactly that. I was amazed to see this beautiful mug cake with Oreo toppings one fine evening. And it did taste good & comforting! Lovely collection of simple recipes with a twist to make boring food seem interesting!

Way to go Varad! Keep writing.
